Fadi Saab, Chairman
Fadi Saab holds an M.B.A. in Finance (INSEAD) and a B.A. in Economics and Statistics (AUB). He began his career in 1979 in the banking field in London (SIB) and New York (Morgan Guarantee Bank and Bankers Trust Co, as Vice President until 1985). In 1986, he established Trans Capital Holding, and was Chairman and President of a group of companies in Europe and the Middle East active in finance and management consultancy, including two passenger charter airlines (Egypt and France), a tour operator, and other related activities. From 1996 till 2008 he was appointed Chairman and President of Lebanon’s national cargo airline (Trans Mediterranean Airways-TMA). Currently he is Chairman and President of The Pine Company.

In addition to being the Chairman of the IoD and the Vice-Chairman of LTA, Fadi Saab is active in different Business Associations and Civil Society NGO's: Chairman of the Institute of Directors (IOD), Chairman of the Lebanese Society for Quality (LSQ), Chairman of the Better Business Group at the American-Lebanese Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Tourism Committee at the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC-Lebanon), Vice Chairman of the Lebanese Economic Forum, University lecturer at Executive MBA programs, and several other voluntary activities...



Yasser Akkaoui, Vice-Chairman
Yasser Akkaoui is the founder of the Center for Strategic Studies, a non-profit organization engaged in awareness creation on employment concerns and resources development strategies for the 21st century. Moreover, Mr. Akkaoui represents the interests of EXECUTIVE Magazine, the Middle East’s most respected economic and trade publication since 2001. He is also the founder of Capital Concept sal, a business development advisory firm that, in addition to its consultancy services, is specialized in fundraising for Civil Society initiatives clients. Mr. Akkaoui also created PrimeJob, a headhunting agency working alongside some of the biggest companies around the Middle East. Additionally, he is a Management and Entrepreneurship instructor at the American University of Beirut (AUB), thus exposing students to real life case studies that help them assess opportunities in regional economies and adapt their decision making to the ever changing business environment in the Middle East.


Yahya Hakim, Secretary General
Yahya Hakim holds a graduate degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Wyoming, a Masters of Arts in Economy, Management and Marketing Research and a MBA in Business Administration and Finance from the International Center for Higher Studies in Tourism. He has held several government positions, including Advisor to the President of the Republic, Advisor to the Minister of Environment, Advisor to the Minister of State for Administrative Reform, Advisor and Director of the office of the Minister of Finance, Advisor to the Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon (BDL), and Advisor to the Speaker of the Chamber. He has also worked as a consultant and lecturer on Management Development Programs, Finance and Work Processes, feasibility studies, marketing surveys and restructuring of companies. Moreover, he is a co-founder of the Center for Economic Policy Research and Analysis (CEPRA), and the Managing Director of the Lebanese Transparency Association (LTA).


Nassib Ghobril, Treasurer
Nassib Ghobril joined the Byblos Bank Group in March 2006 as Head of the Economic Research and Analysis Department. Previously, he was Head of Research at Lebanon Invest, a leading investment bank in Lebanon at the time, where he worked from 1997 till 2002. He then joined Saradar Investment House – the investment banking arm of Groupe Saradar – as Head of Research and built a research department from the ground up. After Bank Audi acquired Saradar in mid-2004, he joined the research department of Audi as Deputy Head of Research and Head of Sector Research where he expanded the scope of the research being conducted there. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from the American University of Beirut, a MA in International Relations from the American University in Washington, DC, and a Master in International Management with a concentration in finance form the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in the United States.


Nada Abdelsater-Abusamra, Member
Nada Abdelsater-Abusamra is a corporate and finance attorney practicing in Beirut, and is also admitted to the courts of New York. In addition to her law degree from the Saint Joseph University in Beirut, she holds a B.Sc. from the American University of Beirut and an LL.M from Harvard Law School with emphasis on corporate governance and corporate law. She is an active member of several boards of directors, including LTA, LCGTF, and the Lebanese Institute for Excellence in Government. She is the author of various articles, and a speaker on corporate governance in several national and international conferences.


Kamal Shehadi, Member
Dr. Kamal Shehadi is the Chairman and CEO of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of Lebanon. Prior to his appointment in 2007, he was the Managing Director of Connexus Consulting, a leading consultancy firm in the Middle East and North Africa specialized in telecom policy, regulation, and strategy. Dr. Shehadi has also served as a consultant to several international organizations and telecommunications companies since 1996 including the World Bank and the European Commission. He has also advised governments, operators and regulatory authorities on telecom regulation and licensing projects in various countries including Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Libya, and Lebanon. He served on the board of a number of organizations, most recently the Lebanese Transparency Association and the Lebanese Businessmen’s Association (RDCL). Dr. Shehadi has a B.A with honors from Harvard University in economics and a PhD from Columbia University (New York) in international political economy. He is the author of a number of publications on privatization, public finance, and foreign investment.



Fouad Zmokhol, Member
Fouad Zmokhol holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration. He is the General Manager and co-owner of Zimco Group, a holding company that includes a printing press, an advertising agency, a leather gift factory and a diary publishing agency. Furthermore, he is the President of the Lebanese Businessmen Association (RDCL), board member of the Forum Francophone des Affaires (FFA), member of the Lebanese Management Association (LMA), and an active member in several other business associations and civil society organizations. Dr. Zmokhol is a professor at the Saint Joseph University in Lebanon (USJ), speaker in national and international conferences and author of multiple publications on strategic management, Corporate Governance, economics and finance. 


Gérard Zovighian, Member
Gérard Zovighian is an auditor and managing partner of BDO Fiduciaire du Moyen Orient in Lebanon. Prior to that, he has worked as an auditor for Price Waterhouse in Paris and BDO in London. Furthermore, he was a member of the Lebanese Association of Certified Public Accountants, an attorney at law at the Paris Bar Association, a member of the National Chamber for Financial Counseling, and an advisor to the Beirut Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has been active in several international and Lebanese associations. Amongst others, he is a founding member of LTA and its Chairman, has been elected as board member of Transparency International in 2005, and is an advisor and knight of the Order of Malta.
